What the hell happened to Trent Richardson?
He was a #3 overall pick by the Cleveland Browns in 2012, the highest a Running Back has been selected in the last 9 years. He was the first Browns rookie to rush for over 100 yards and score rushing and receiving touchdowns all in the same game. During Week 13 in 2012 against the Kansas City Chiefs, Richardson rushed for 42 yards and 2 touchdowns, tying Jim Brown’s franchise rookie record of 9 touchdowns.
Richardson was traded to Indianapolis in 2013 and was regarded as the answer to the Colts’ running back and rushing game issues, although he quickly dropped on the depth chart behind Dan Herron, Zurlon Tipton and Ahmad Bradshaw.
Fast forward to right now, Richardson hasn’t seen the field in 2 months. He was listed as “healthy but inactive” in the AFC Divisional game against the Denver Broncos. (slap to the face)
Now he didn’t even make the trip to New England for the AFC Championship game. What do you suppose the “personal reasons” are that kept him from making the flight to New England? Maybe he just doesn’t like the cold weather.
