Louisville Baseball’s Corey Ray Steals Home to Win

The greatest teenage movie-baseball player in history, Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez taught us many real life lessons:

“Just stand out there and stick your glove out in the air. I’ll take care of it.” is basically my life-mantra.

When my high school girlfriend broke my heart, “Babe Ruth is the greatest baseball player that ever lived. People say he was less than a god but more than a man. You know, like Hercules or something.”  That quote made me feel like a man again.

And when I’m feeling like the world is too tough, I think of this:  “Anyone who wants to be a can’t-hack-it pantywaist who wears their mama’s bra, raise your hand.”

BUT, most importantly, Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez taught us that no one is gonna GIVE us home plate, we have to take it.

Louisville’s Corey Ray must’ve been listening:

Right fielder Corey Ray, in the bottom of the ninth last night, reached base on an intentional walk, moved to second on a single, and to third on a wild pitch.  Then he pulled a Sandlot, and won the game for his Louisville Cardinals.
