Baron Davis Comeback Update

Baron Davis, everyone’s favorite uncle who thinks he can still ball, had his NBA D-League debut last night for the Delaware 87ers.  The 36 year-old hasn’t played professionally since 2012, but it looks like he’s still got a little gas left in the tank:

Is that shit regulation?

Is that shit regulation?

Later Baron Davis showed off the range-rover with a deep, Steph Curry-like three-pointer:

He even got in the mix distributing the rock a little bit with this alley-oop:

Even though the 76ers signed Baron to their affiliate team in Delaware (hi, I’m in Delaware), they don’t actually own the rights to Davis’ contract yet.  Meaning that he’s still technically a free agent and available for the Houston Rockets to sign immediately so they can round-out the weirdest locker room of all time.  Can you imagine Dwight Howard, James Harden, Patrick Beverley (Hills Cop), Josh Smith, Michael Beasley, Terrance Jones, Montrez Harrell and the ghost of Baron Davis rollin hard for the rest of the 2016 season?  Now that’s what I call a train-wreck worthy of watching.

Baron Davis is 36 years young, so if my method of deduction and college-math works correctly, then that  means Michael Beasley and Patrick Beverley were 10 years old when Baron was drafted in 1999…..Terrance Jones was 7 and Montrez Harrel was 5.

—sidenote: Baron Davis could probably start at PG for Philly right now, seeing as how they haven’t had a point guard since Allen Iverson and Eric Snow ran the show.
